Therapy Services
Children & Adolescents
Leah offers therapeutic sevices directly and indirectly to children and their familes. Her work adopts a variety of modern theraputic approaches including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and narrative work.
Leah's approach is to meet with you and your family and conduct an assessment of the difficulties experienced. Your shared understanding of the presenting problem/s will help you to decide together which approach would be most useful to your child/self/family. Confidentiality is always discussed and respected.
Parents
Sometimes parents find it helpful to come along on their own to discuss difficulites they are experiencing in their role as a parent. Other parents find it useful to seek support on how to help their children through a diffcult situation without invovling their child directly in therapy. Leah works with parents using both of these approaches.
Adults
Although Leah specialises in working with young people and their families, she does also see adults. Her work with adults includes therapy for mood problems, anxiety, trauma, assertion training, stress management etc.
Groupwork
Leah has experience running therapeutic groups for children with anxiety and mood problems, physical illnesses, behavioural problems and parenting groups, among others. Groupwork at Mindscape is currently being established, however if you have an existing group of children/young people and would like Leah to facilitate a group either on your premises (e.g schools or health centres) or at Mindscape, please contact Leah to discuss your needs.
Workshops
As well as working individually, Leah also offers consultation, workshops and training on a variety of psychological topics to other professional groups such as teachers and other health care professionals.
Clinical Supervision
Leah offers professional clinical supervision to other clinical psychologists both privately and in her current role as a Clinical Supervisor with the London doctoral training programmes.
